The Level-1 Hackathon under Udbhav-25 was successfully organized on 15 November 2025 at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Institute of Technology, Tanakpur. The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony by the Director of the institute, Prof. (Dr.) H.L. Mandoriya.
In his address, the Director encouraged all participants and emphasized that such hackathons play a major role in developing innovation, problem-solving skills, and a technical approach to real-world challenges. He also shared detailed information about the Uttarakhand AI Mission (U-AIM), run by the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA), Government of Uttarakhand. He explained how the state government is working to promote Artificial Intelligence, enhance digital skills, and prepare the youth for future technologies across the state.
A total of 7 teams participated in the hackathon and presented their innovative technical solutions. An expert panel of judges evaluated all the projects. All teams performed well, and based on their excellent presentation and performance, Team UnlockEd was selected and recommended for participation in Level-II Hackathon, which will be held at UPES, Dehradun on 24 November 2025.
The event’s SPOC and coordinator, Mr. Divisht Jaiswal, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, shared that all participating teams showed great enthusiasm and creativity, which further strengthens the technical environment of the institute.
The institute administration congratulated all participants for their hard work and innovative efforts and extended best wishes to Team UnlockEd for their upcoming Level-II Hackathon.
