Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand technical university(VMSBUTU), Dehradun, was established on January 27, 2005, by the Government of Uttarakhand through the Uttarakhand Technical University Act, 2005. As the sole affiliating university in the state for technical institutions, UTU plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape of Uttarakhand.
The university spans an area of 8.372 hectares and encompasses 8 constituent colleges and 132 affiliated colleges, serving a diverse student body of approximately 33,000 across various programs. UTU offers a wide range of educational opportunities, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programs in multiple disciplines, ensuring that students receive comprehensive and high-quality education.
